Can I speak to Dr. Cardonne by phone if I don’t have an appointment?Calls to the doctor are generally returned in 24 hours. Calls after 5:00 pm may be returned the next day (non-emergencies). In addition appointments for phone consultations can be arranged.

What are your fees?Please call our office to discuss Dr Cardonne fees. Also, before discussing fees it is best to determine if we are a good fit for treatment on the phone.

Does Dr. Cardonne take insurance?Dr. Cardonne does not accept insurance and is considered an Out-of-Network provider by insurance companies. Depending on the plan and deductible, reimbursement from your insurance company for assessment and treatment services may be available. Dr. Cardonne will assist you in the process of filing the paperwork with your insurer for any possible reimbursement. To maximize patient’s reimbursement an invoice including all pertinent information and appropriate code(s) will be given to the patient. Please check with your insurer if you would like to verify out-of-network benefits or reimbursement rates.

What if I have an emergency?Dr. Cardonne tries to be available as much as possible for urgent matters. Calls are usually returned by the end of the day. Emergencies usually require immediate attention to call 911, which is the best option in those cases, particularly if it is a life-threatening emergency.

How will my confidentiality be protected?To protect your privacy is extremely important for Dr. Cardonne. He will not communicate with anyone about your treatment unless you have signed a release of information form. Additionally, he will not discuss whether or not you were a previous patient or are a current patient without your written consent. However, there are some limits of confidentiality. They are included in the informed consent which needs to be signed prior to your first meeting with Dr. Cardonne. Dr Cardonne is a "mandated reporter." This means Dr. Cardonne must report child abuse and elder abuse to the appropriate authorities. Additionally, if he feels you are in danger of committing suicide or homicide, He must also report it to the appropriate agencies for your safety and the safety of others.

How do I get started with Tele-psychiatry?You only need a computer or a cell phone with an internet connection, preferable to use a computer when possible. Using a private space where you will not be interrupted and can maintain your confidentiality is very important.
